Sri Sivachupermaniyar Devasthana

This temple was established on 14th October 1994 and consecrated with a grand Mahakumbhabhishekam. The Vel of Lord Murugan is installed in the sanctum sanctorum of this temple. The deities of the surrounding shrines—Natarajar, Dakshinamurthy, Durga, Rajarajeswari, Bhairavar and the Navagrahas—are bestowing their blessings. All the idols are crafted from solid gold and radiate a divine sanctity.
The temple’s annual Maha Utsavam is held for ten days, beginning on the first Sunday of the Avani month, with the Theertha Utsavam as the main day. The temple has a general body and a managing committee. The temple priests are Shivabrahmins. During the annual festival, a Maheshwara Puja is performed daily, accompanied by Nadaswaram music and continuous religious discourses.
